A Story of Milk & Dollies
Moonmallow's new scarf
Shawn taught himself how to knit a few days ago so he could make some clothes and accessories for my Blythes and plushies. (He's teaching me how to knit right now, yay!) One of the first things he made was this pretty rainbow scarf. It was intended for Plum but Moonmallow seems to have snatched it away. ^__~

Moonmallow's New Scarf

There’s a big snowstorm here today so Shawn’s team gets to work from home. It’s so nice having him here with me! I snuck outside to take a photo of Moonmallow enjoying her new scarf in the snow.

Storage boxes for my Blythe clothes & accessories
I thought I'd share some photos of my storage boxes. I've organized all my Blythe clothes and accessories into these boxes. One box is just for hats; another is for separates (shirts, pants, belts, scarves, etc.); and the last box is for bigger items like dresses and coats.

Blythe Clothes Storage Boxes

I have two more huge (square) boxes for my stationary and journals. Those are kept on top of my pretty white bookcase while these round ones (that look like a cake when piled on top of each other!) sit on my floor next to my desk and some of my cubby shelves. I still need to get a bunch more of these round boxes for my dolly clothes though. I've collected so many over the years... and they're starting to appear in very random places because I didn't have room for them all before. I'm trying to space out when I buy them so Jo-Ann gets more fun prints in between.

It's been fun having all my things organized because it doesn't take me a million years to find a certain piece of clothing when I'm changing one of my dolly's clothes!

Plum's fourth birthday!
Plum’s fourth birthday was yesterday, January 28, 2010. I really can’t believe four whole years have passed since Plum joined my Blythe family. What’s even weirder to me is thinking that I collected Blythes for TWO years before Plum was here. Crazy!

Plum's Fourth Birthday

I bought Plum a little pink cake (er, mini cupcake) and some candles. A few presents from Shawn, my mom, and me are on the way, too. I can’t wait to give Plum her pressies. ^___^

For the full story on how Plum came to be in my Blythe family, check out this blog post.

Also, here are some links to photos I took earlier this week of Plum wearing her some of the clothes I bought her at BlytheCon. I took the photos in celebration of the release of this month's issue of Haute Doll magazine, which has an article about BlytheCon 2009. I was super excited to find out that I appeared in a few of the photos!

Things on my desk...
I recently redecorated and reorganized my hobby room. Currently, my desk has these things on top of it-- all of it organized very neatly! ^__^ All the rest of my stickers and paper products are stacked in huge boxes in my closet until I get some proper containers to organize 'em all in. ^^

Things On My Desk

The plastic My Melody container is really cute. When I opened it up inside, I found a stack of stationary in the shape and with the print of My Melody. Aww...

My journal is in the center. <3 I love it so much. I've been using it almost every day now-- writing in it and decorating the insides with stickers. I'm sad that I didn't have the journal a few months ago, back when I met Julie West at the Rotofugi her gallery night. I could have had her sign it. I'm sure she'll be back and we'll meet again so I'll have to remember to take my journal along with me. n___n

Getting the journal itself was fate. I had put it on my xmas list months ago, back when it was first for sale online, but then Mom ended up buying all my pressies before I gave her my big list! I was lucky enough to go to Hot Pop right before my birthday. Shawn said he had wanted to get another birthday present for me so he offered to buy it. I'm having so much fun writing on paper and using stickers that I've neglected blogging!

Some Hello Kitty surprises from Mum
Mum dropped by for a while today. She brought me my favorite Starbucks latte and a few little surprises-- a bunch of Hello Kitty things! She had ordered a present for my cousin a few weeks ago and thought she'd order a few presents for me while she was at it. Haha, she knows me so well. ^^

Relaxing with Hello Kitty

Ed Likes Hello Kitty "Hello Kitty is MINE!"

These two little cuties resting with Ed were my favorite of the pressies. They're keychains so I think I'll attach them to one of my Tokidoki purses sometime. Mum also gave me a pink Hello Kitty cell phone charm, which I might put on my phone tonight... All of my stuff matches so well. o_O

Poor Eddybear. I saw her laying down in the middle of the main room so I went up to her with my two new plushies and started taking photos. She immediately sat up, moved about three inches to the right, and then plopped down. I figured that she couldn't have been too annoyed by me taking photos (or she would have moved a lot farther) so I kept following her around the room with my camera and plushies until she gave up. After a while, I think she quite enjoyed cuddling with the Hello Kitties.

Sweet Pinkachu
I wanted to post a straight-on photo of Pinkachu so I could clearly capture her pretty faceup. All the little details really bring together a super special dolly. (The two little dots under each eye and on her lips are some of my favorite details! >w< When I first started collecting Blythes, I'd always wanted a Blythe with little dots like those.)

Pinkachu
For many years now, I've collected Blythes with very natural looks. Their makeup is always simple, which I love because it allows me to spice up their appearances with more extravagant outfits. Pinkachu fulfilled two of my Blythe "goals."

1) She became my true pink Blythe. (Nami is also pinky, but her look is much more natural.)
2) I've always wanted a Blythe with a very vibrant look that I could dress in simple clothes.

Plum is special because she has such a simple, natural look. I usually add a lot of clothes and accessories. Pinkachu is different in that I plan on creating less complex outfits for her. A simple dress (like the one in my latest photos) and a pair of shoes seems to immediately complete Pinkachu.

I bought some fun materials earlier this week for a photoshoot I'm planning for Pinkachu. I have to put some things together and wait for the perfect lighting, and then I should be able to do the shoot I've been wanting to do. ^_____^

Pinkachu
I am extremely happy and excited to introduce my new Blythe, Pinkachu! ^___^ I haven’t gotten a new Blythe for myself in a few years. I’ve always wanted a true pink girl in my family and it wasn’t until now that I’ve found the perfect pink girl for me: a custom My Little Candy. MRB was my first Blythe, but she had too much peachy orange in her hair, and PD Peach was pretty, but I couldn’t deal with the side part. I finally feel that Pinkachu has fulfilled my pink Blythe dreams!

Pinkachu

Pinkachu was customized by her previous owner, Daniela. From what I know, Pinkachu was her only Blythe, which amazes me because all the custom work is perfectly executed. The details on Pinkachu’s face are incredible! From her painted lips (the little line details & shading amaze me) to her Hello Kitty eyelids to her detailed eyelashes to the little white dots that lay under her eyes to her Pure Neemo Flection body, Pinkachu is a dolly miracle.

From what I know, Pinkachu has three main obsessions:
1) Hello Kitty (obviously!)
2) Pokemon (Pinkachuuuu!)
3) Pink!

Pinkachu's aspiration in life is to become a Sanrio character.

Pinkachu

Pinkachu’s arrival was a bit scary. Her shipping box was horribly mangled up, and when I opened her, she was in a fetal position, with her hair tangled all over the place. x___x I couldn’t stand to see her so messy so I immediately submerged her in a very long process of my special spa treatment. I was worried that MLC’s hair would be a problem since the overall quality of Blythe hair has gone so far downhill, and I was right (sadly). It took a very long time, and a lot of special spa treatment, for me to get rid of all Pinkachu’s frizz and overall poofiness. All the hard work was worth it! In the end, Pinkachu’s hair looked amazing and I’m incredibly smitten. ^^

One of my favorite Plum photos
I was taking photos of Plum wearing a bunch of pressies people gave her for the holidays/my birthday this year and I ended up getting a close-up shot that I was really happy with.

Plum's Holiday Loot

The last time I was this happy with a photo was when Plum was wearing her carousel dress back in the summer. Like I've said before, I feel extremely fortunate for having a Kozy with such amazing hair. This style fell into place right when I put her bear hat on-- I didn't have to do any primping myself!

I'll post the other photos of Plum wearing her full outfit later... For now, they're posted on Flickr and Facebook. ^^

Introducing Plushie, my first Ddung dolly
Yup, I did it. I named a doll Plushie. When I saw her face in person, I knew the name was meant to be-- she's just so cute.

Introducing Plushie Introducing Plushie

I only recently started looking at Ddung dollies, and when I did, I knew I wanted a pink haired one. After a little searching, I found that the White Rabbit Ddung was just what I was looking for! She had pink hair and she was the bigger version of a Ddung. Plus, her stock clothes are over-the-top cute. The day I found Plushie, Shawn said he would buy her for me as a birthday/xmas pressie. ^___________^

I love a lot of things about Plushie, but I think the feature that really strikes me the most is her pink hair. Not only is it incredibly long (past her feet!), but it's so, so, so soft. In fact, it's better quality than Blythe saran hair, in my opinion. Also, she looks like a small doll, but she's actually pretty big in size. On Flickr, someone did a size comparision and the 7" Ddung's head is as big as a Pullip's head.

I think Plushie is Shawn's new favorite toy of mine. ^^ He ordered her weeks ago and made sure to check the package when she arrived. (I wanted to wait 'til my birthday to open the package.) I asked him if she looked like she was in good condition and the right doll, and Shawn said she looked really awesome. I could tell by his expression and the way he was talking that he really loved the dolly. Ever since I opened her, I've been copying her cute little facial expression while holding her. Shawn cracks up every time. ^o^
